The Sacred Valley of the Incas is located north of the city of Cusco in the Peruvian Andes. It has an area of ​​approximately 100 kilometers, made up of numerous rivers that descend through streams and small valleys, offers numerous archaeological monuments and indigenous peoples. characterized by its climate a little more temperate than the city of Cusco itself, since it is between 2800 and 2900 m.s.n.m in the sacred valley you can see different archaeological sites combined with beautiful natural and cultural views. Each of the attractions has its own particularity since this area has the largest amount of historical vestiges of Inca origin in Peru, you can visit the attractions of Pisaq, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Moray and salt mines. within them you will find from cave paintings, archaeological complexes, structures, streets and economic activities of the communities, all this is part of the tours preferred by our visitors.

Itinerary
We begin with the pick up at the hostels from 6:15 until 6:30 am to the Sacred Valley of the Incas (VIP), visiting Chinchero, the picturesque little town, where we can see agricultural terraces and the remains of the royal treasury of Tupac Inca Yupanqui , admired for its well preserved Inca wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple built on the foundations of an Inca building continuing with our journey we arrived at Maras and Moray (archaeological site unique in its kind). we can see gigantic natural holes in the surface of the land that were used to build terraces or agricultural terraces with their respective irrigation canals. What is striking is the variety of temperatures between the top and the bottom of the depressions.
Moray was an important center of acclimatization and hybridization of wild plant species that were modified or adapted for human consumption. following the route we arrive at the salt mines located 7 km towards the northwest of the town of Maras, where the famous salt mines known by some as the “salt mines” are constituted by some 3000 small wells, built on one side of the mountain “Qaqawiñay”, which during the dry season is filled or “watered” every 3 days with salt water that emanates from a spring located in the upper part of the wells so that when the water evaporates, the salt contained in it gradually solidifies . this process will continue approximately for a month until we obtain a considerable volume of solid salt, then we go to the fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions of the jungle inhabitants. We will have the opportunity to walk through the streets of the town and thus have a clear idea of ​​how this military, religious and cultural center was, during the Inca empire. and finally we will visit Pisaq, which offers an archaeological zone and a craft market at the end of the tour.
